I have lived in Martin County for 27 years.  I graduated from Stuart Middle School, Martin County High School, University of Florida and Florida Atlantic University.  I hold a degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. 

I have been teaching for 16 years, 9 at Hobe Sound Elementary and 8 at Jensen Beach Elementary.  I have taught second, third and fourth grades.   I am married and have two children ages 9 and 11 who also attend Jensen Beach Elementary.   My hobbies are reading, collecting shells and pewter and attending the sporting events of my two children. 

Classroom News 

I am currently teaching third grade in the 2007-2008 school year.  We have been to the Environmental Studies Center this year and will also be going bowling, seeing a play at SFHS and going to the Florida Oceanographic Society for our year- end trip.

I use a student planner to record daily homework.   Students are expected to read independently thirty minutes nightly.

I enjoy doing hands-on experiments and activities in my classroom and am delighted to see the “light bulb” of understanding come on.
