Monday - Thursday  Each night children will have Spelling/ Language Arts homework (unless assignment book shows otherwise.)   There is never any homework on Fridays.  Parents need to check assignment book each night and sign as assignments are completed. 

Homework Folder and Planner - Each night students will bring home their Homework Folder.  Please check this folder every afternoon for notes and homework.  Be sure your child brings this folder to school every morning. On Fridays, students take home their graded papers.  Please review papers with your child and sign and return the signature card the following week.

Reading - Our goal is to encourage each child to read and develop a lifelong love of reading.  As with anything else we learn to do - the more practice we receive, the more skilled we become, and the more we enjoy it.  With this in mind, your child will need to read for at least 10 minutes every evening.  If your child is able to handle more than 10 minutes,....Great!!!!

Spelling - A spelling list will be given on Monday each week, as well as high frequency words.  Please help your child review the words each evening.  Spelling pre-test will be given on Monday with the Spelling test on Friday. 

Math - Math homework will be sent home as needed to review a skill that needs to be reinforced.

**Please be aware that any class work not completed during class time will also be considered homework.**
