| Our
school counseling program at JBE provides educational, prevention and
intervention services to help each student reach his/her optimal level
of performance. As our school's guidance counselor, I will proactively
act as an advocate for all students and collaborate with families, staff
and community resources to assist with student development. Individual/small group counseling services and classroom guidance lessons will be offered for students K-5th grades. My hope is for all students at JBE to acquire the necessary "Student Success Skills" (academically, socially, emotionally, and career-wise) to become competent, caring learners. |

My name is Marta Carlson and I am thrilled
to be here at JBE as your school's Guidance Counselor! I have two Masters Degrees, one in Special Education and the other in School Counseling. In August 2008, I will finish my Specialist Degree in Mental Health at FAU. I am certified to teach both regular and special education as well as School Guidance K-12. I am pleased to announce that this is my 25th year working in the education field and I have enjoyed it immensely.
