Dear Guest to the JBE Website,
We are pleased to welcome you to our website and hope that the information you find will be of benefit to you and your family. The entire school family of Jensen Beach Elementary is proud of our students, our parents, and our staff and our accomplishments.
It is truly a dedicated group effort creating the school environment in which we live. Our SAC, PTA, and our staff are three major forces that have worked closely to maintain a high level of academic achievement that his well known in the Jensen Beach community. Our students are involved in a wide variety of school events as well as community events.
Since our campus sits in the middle of the Jensen Beach community, we value the neighborhood feel that keeps our families and students in close proximity. This neighborhood feeling promotes extraordinary and exemplary parent involvement. This involvement is an outstanding role model to the children who in turn, become involved citizens of tomorrow.

Biography
Don Merritt, Principal, is certified in early childhood development, elementary education and educational leadership. He has been teaching since 1974 in a wide range of elementary grades; Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, grades 3, 5, and 6. He has taught in New York before moving to Florida in 1979. He then taught at JBE for nine and a half years. He became Assistant Principal and then Principal at Hobe Sound Elementary School before returning as Principal at JBE. He enjoys meeting moms and dads who visit the school and helping children and teachers make JBE the best school in Martin County.
